Countdown to Extra Life Game Day & Tabletop Appreciation Weekend

As crazy as it sounds, we are just a 79 days away from our Extra Life Game Day on November 3^rd! Each year since 2008, tens of thousands of gamers have joined together to save the lives of local kids in celebration of gaming culture that we call Extra Life. From console games to tabletop games, and even lawn sports, Extra Life gives people that love to play a chance to do what they love while making a difference.

Originally designed as a 24-hour marathon of gaming, Extra Life has evolved over the years and we have seen Game Days take many different forms.

Interested in getting involved prior to Extra Life Game Day on November 3^rd? Great news: Extra Life Tabletop Appreciation Weekend is August 25^th-26^th. It is a common misconception that Extra Life is solely a video game marathon. Last year alone, Extra Life saw 15,000 people participate by playing tabletop games. A pump-up of sorts for Game Day, Tabletop Appreciation Weekend encourages thousands of #EXTRALIFETabletop supporters to create Extra Life teams and host a community tabletop event the weekend of August 25^th-26^th.

To participate, all you have to do is sign up (free) and rally the support of your friends and family through tax-deductible donations to CHOC Children’s or your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Then on August 25^th-26^th, Saturday, November 3^rd, or any day that works for you (Game Days can be held any day of the year!) host your very own Game Day in which you play any game(s) for any length of time!

All proceeds raised for Extra Life stay local to the community in which they are raised and since 2008, Extra Life gamers have raised more than $40 million dollars.
