Walmart & Sam’s Clubs #HelpKidsLiveBetter One Dollar at a Time

Orange County Walmart and Sam’s Club stores are once again joining forces to raise money for CHOC Children’s during the month of September for their annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Campaign.

Last year alone, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members raised $191,958 for CHOC Children’s – this year we’re shooting to surpass the $200,000 mark! On a national level, Walmart and Sam’s Club are closing in on the $1 billion fundraising mark for CMN Hospitals in the US and Canada!

This year’s campaign is five weeks long and set for August 27 to September 30. During the five-week campaign, donations are taken at the register and creative fundraising like contests, auctions, potluck and family events are implemented by the passionate associates.

To create excitement around the campaign and share best practices, we hosted our annual Campaign Kickoff here at CHOC earlier this week. Associates from Walmart and Sam’s Club took time out of their busy schedules to come to the hospital and learn more about the campaign and to strategize on how to make this year’s fundraising our most successful yet!
